Lectropower supplies, rents, repairs and engineers pump systems for mining, industrial, water transfer and dewatering applications across South Africa. It also manufactures electrical control panels and provides cable jointing and Ex d electrical solutions. Services are delivered from the operations centre in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.
Where is Lectropower based?
Lectropower’s operations centre is at 13 Arnhem Crescent, Die Heuwel, eMalahleni 1042, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Nationwide service is offered from there.

Pump brands and supply

Which pump brands does Lectropower supply?
Lectropower supplies Flygt (Xylem), Pioneer (a Franklin Electric company) and KSB pumps. It is the sole Flygt distributor in Mpumalanga, and an approved supplier and repair and maintenance workshop for Pioneer and KSB.
Is Lectropower the only Flygt distributor in Mpumalanga?
Yes. Lectropower is the sole distributor of Flygt (Xylem) products in Mpumalanga. It also holds certified approved workshop status for the repair and maintenance of Flygt standard and Ex d pump ranges.
What is each brand used for?
Flygt: submersible pumps for mining, industrial and dewatering applications, in standard and flameproof configurations. Pioneer: diesel-driven and electric-driven pumps for surface, underground, dewatering and water transfer applications. KSB: centrifugal and multistage pumps for high-head, process water and industrial transfer applications.
Which pump models are shown on the website?
The Flygt range shown includes the 2075, 2125, 2190, 2201, 2400 and N3171. The KSB range includes the Multitec and the Etanorm / Etabloc. Pioneer diesel-driven pumps and Pioneer surface pumps are also shown. Datasheets and brochures can be downloaded from each brand page.
How does Lectropower choose the right pump for an application?
Every pump is specified according to the duty, the environment and the operational requirement, to help clients avoid undersized, inefficient or unsuitable equipment. Clients can speak to the team about their application for specification and selection support.

Repairs and testing

Can Lectropower repair flameproof (Ex d) pumps?
Yes. Lectropower operates a MASC-certified repair and maintenance facility for both standard and flameproof pump systems, compliant with SANS 60079 requirements for electrical apparatus used in explosive atmospheres.
Which pump brands does Lectropower repair?
Repairs are carried out to OEM specification across leading brands including Flygt, Pioneer and KSB.
Are repaired pumps tested before they return to site?
Yes. Repaired equipment is tested through Lectropower’s in-house test bay and dedicated test dam before it returns to site.

Rental, water management and electrical

Does Lectropower rent pumps?
Yes. Lectropower supplies rental pumps and dewatering equipment for breakdowns, flooding, temporary capacity and project-based requirements. Short-term and project-based rental options are available. Rental pumps are maintained, tested through the in-house test bay and test dam, and ready to deploy.
Can Lectropower build a complete pumping system for a site?
Yes. Lectropower designs and delivers bespoke water management systems, including multi-pump water transfer stations, pump skids and trolley systems, control panels, pipework and site infrastructure. The project is managed from specification through fabrication, testing and installation.
What electrical services does Lectropower offer?
Lectropower offers in-house electrical control panel manufacturing, cable jointing and termination (including high-voltage work) and Ex d electrical solutions for standard and hazardous-area mining and industrial environments.
